Fatima's Story

Fatima grew up in a traditional family where girls were expected to marry young and take care of household duties. Her older sisters had all left school by Form 2.

"My grandmother told me that too much education would make me unmarriageable. She meant well, but she didn't understand that I wanted more."

Esther visited Fatima's family multiple times, speaking with her parents about the importance of education. Eventually, they agreed to let Fatima continue her studies with the foundation's support.

"I remember crying when they said yes. It was the first time I felt like my dreams mattered."

Fatima excelled in secondary school and is now studying at a university in Dar es Salaam, pursuing a degree in business administration.

"I video call my younger cousins and show them my university. I want them to see that this path is possible for them too."
