We appreciate the thought! Due to shipping costs and logistics, we generally recommend monetary donations, which allow us to purchase supplies locally and support the Tanzanian economy. However, for large or specialized donations, please contact us directly.
While we don't offer individual child sponsorship (to ensure equitable support for all children in our programs), you can designate your donation to specific programs such as girls' education or nutrition support.
Volunteering
We offer both remote and on-site volunteer opportunities. Remote volunteers can help with social media, fundraising, mentoring, and administrative tasks. On-site volunteers can join us in Moshi, Tanzania for immersive experiences. Visit our "How to Help" page to explore current opportunities.

About the Foundation
The foundation was founded by Esther "Mama" Simba, a community leader in Moshi, Tanzania. What began as her personal mission to help neighborhood children has grown into an organization serving hundreds of students and families.
We operate primarily in Moshi, a town in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania, at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our programs serve multiple villages and schools in the surrounding area.
Currently, we support over 250 students through our education programs, serve 1,000+ meals monthly through our nutrition programs, and work with 100+ families through community development initiatives.
Yes, we are registered as a nonprofit organization in both Tanzania and the United States (as a 501(c)(3)). This allows us to operate locally while receiving tax-deductible donations from international supporters.
Visit our "Voices of Uweza" page to read stories from people we've helped. We also publish annual impact reports and share regular updates through our newsletter and social media channels.
